Yesterday a uneventful day I do what I always do, go to the library.
Im currently reading a book called Exposure about a girl who is addicted to speed and shoplifting.

As i entered the library i noticed a book for sale called The book of longing by Leonard Cohen, I thought I must have this. I sat down and read a couple pages and then went for the door figuring since it is for sale it wont be alarmed. Wrong ! As the beep beep beep happened i turned around and went to the front desk to play dumb. I bargained the 3 dollar price tag down to 2 and was on my way.

From there i went to the Starbucks and chatted with the cute barista about my daring library adventure and laughed about how i haven't stolen anything since lipchap 6 years ago. She stole a bracelet that said beautiful british columbia when she was 13.
I ripped a page out of my new Cohen book and left my number at the table i was reading at hoping only by chance she might call.

I've written about strange occurrences happening a lot lately and Im Highly involved with them in my everyday life.

these phenomenon's that are never planned happen on a daily without even noticing.
I rented a great movie that pushed my thoughts on the subject and threw-out the movie
they mention cats and dogs a number of times until it rains frogs.

In Exodus 8:1-15, a shower of frogs is cast down by God on the Egyptians for their refusal to set the Israelites free: "And if thou refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all thy borders with frogs." All the characters in Magnolia seem to be struggling for some kind of freedom. Maybe there's a connection there.

Finishing a book is a great feeling. I mean real great.

Yesterday the stove in my humble basement suit (the pile) stopped working.
Well If this ones done that will put the tally up to 2.
2 seems to be a magic number because the water pipes upstairs exploded not once
but twice leaving water pouring threw the light fixtures into the kitchen.
Along with the problems is the bathtub that was clogged for 2 months last year having to bucket water out of the damn thing every time you wanted a shower.
It was named "the swamp".

Reave Dennison is a great human and he brings this epic skate video, Genuine Dillweeds. He even lived in a small fort at the pile for a couple months and was a true gem to have around.

He held the premier for this video in a park at night under a playground. We set up tarps and everyone got soaked and had a rad time. I would actually have to say it was the best premier i've ever been too.

A couple summers back i went to visit my friend chippy in Nanaimo for a Carnival and skate contest. The first night i arrived we checked out the games. Being a gambling man
I tried my luck on a game called higher lower where u toss 2 balls into holes and you bet above 7 or below. After this game i had about 30 dollars in toonies in my pockets.

Next up was this spin a wheel game where you bet which symbol it landed on.
Down to about 20 I decided that all this fun would buy the beer for the night.

The next day was the skate contest but instead of skating i took to the beer garden
too drink with the carnies. A few beers in they took a liking to me and offered me a position to work on the Zipper ride, I kinda declined.

I took chipps outsiders book and headed for home.

At 9:30 i started in on my 1.5L of wine,
I invited an old friend to come over and
give me some writing advice.
He explained the fabrication of perfection.
As well as painting a picture with words. The clock hit
10:40 and i asked danny to leave, the liquor store closes
in twenty minutes and i need another bottle of wine.
The second i stepped out of the liquor store i twisted
the cap off the bottle of wine took a large pull and
started heading for home. I sang Barbra Allen
in a cheerful drunken state.

for my yesterday i shall die for her tomorrow"
I was one block away when a cat ran up to me, a pretty cat
black with orange spots. I decided that i would follow the
cat. I ended up at a church and sat near a garden as the cat walked
back an forth rubbing against my legs. I don't remember leaving
but i woke up with a splash of wine left in the bottle and
poured it down the sink.

Yesterday was anniversary of Harry nilsson's death... oddly enough we happen to watch the documentary on him yesterday not even knowing he died that day. The day he died there was a massive earthquake in L.a .. Harry is one of the best singer/song writers that ever lived.
